Mighty Rick’s continue to “knock it out of the park”

Since opening in October 2023, Mighty Rick’s Boxing & Fitness has gone from strength to strength and has now expanded from it’s original space of approximately 4000sqft to over 8000sqft, more than doubling in size.

Owned by three-weight World Boxing Champion Ricky Burns, Mighty Rick’s is an official Hyrox affiliated gym, offering multiple classes for Hyrox, Boxing Circuits and Strength & Conditioning.

When Mighty Rick’s opened in 2023, it was a dream fulfilled for our local hero, who said at the time that his ambition was to bring people together through fitness and improved wellbeing. This expansion has allowed Ricky to run additional classes and offer more options to members for their own fitness journeys. This ambition is clearly being achieved, with people coming from as far afield as Ayrshire and Fife for his Hyrox simulation days and to use the top of the range equipment in the gym.

Ricky said “ I love being part of the Maxim Park community, I’m a local boy and proud of it so when i opened Mighty Rick’s it had to be in Lanarkshire. I am really proud of how the gym is looking and all of the feedback that i have had so far. In my first 2 years at Maxim Park, things have grown really well so it was great that i had to expand here. I’m planning for the long term future here at Maxim Park of Mighty Rick’s Boxing & Fitness.”
