Maxim - the UK's largest live office park development - is positioning itself in the front of the global shop window for high quality office accommodation with the appointment of Jones Lang LaSalle's international network.
The appointment of JLL will complement the existing mandates held by the Glasgow and London teams at CBRE and Glasgow specialist Ryden, reflecting the determination of the Maxim management to capitalise on the global competitiveness of the project. Jones Lang LaSalle's team will be led by Chris Hiatt, JLL's National Head of Office Agency. Chris is ranked in Property Week's 2008 top 50 leasing agents and has recently delivered major lettings for Lend Lease and Quintain.
Chris Hiatt of Jones Lang LaSalle said,
"We are absolutely thrilled to be a part of such an exciting project. Maxim is a world class development that will build on Scotland's fantastic record for innovation, and position the region as a serious location for global players. "As it will all be in place and ready to go by March 2010, I have been able to hit the ground running in discussions with potential tenants. Maxim offers a top class environment, integrated facilities, good transport links and access to a highly skilled workforce. All in all, it is a very tempting package."
Maxim will deliver 756,000 sq.ft. of office accommodation in 10 high quality office buildings. It offers a strategic scale location to large global operators seeking a well-integrated office park environment in the EMEA zone. Maxim will include one of Scotland's largest office buildings (Building 5 - 17,330 sq.m/186,545 sqft). As such, Maxim is set to become a nationally significant, inward investment location for Scotland and the United Kingdom.
Maxim offers a single site featuring a boutique hotel, a range of shops, a wine bar, bistro, childcare and leisure facilities, to include a PGA-accredited putting facility and an arts and events amphitheatre. Maxim is conceived around a quality, lifestyle-oriented working environment that will make the work-life balance a reality for the 7,000 people employed on it when complete. Strategically located in Lanarkshire on the Glasgow-Edinburgh M8 road link, the development is within 30 minutes of each of the cities' respective airports, in a region renowned for a high quality, well-educated workforce, and a range of leading cultural and leisure opportunities. Buildings 1, 3 are set for completion ahead of schedule in the early autumn, with the entire park ready in 2010.
Karen Campbell, Chief Executive at Maxim, said:
"Maxim is of a scale and quality that makes it globally significant for Scotland and the United Kingdom as a place to locate."
Jones Lang LaSalle has the global reach we need to bring Maxim to the attention of international players in need of a high-grade EMEA location; we are delighted that the firm come on board to help us.
