By Edward Marr THE London-based Broadgate Estates has been appointed to manage the £330 million Maxim in North Lanarkshire – the UK’s largest live office park development. It has won a five-year contract to manage 750,000 sq ft of office space over the 10 buildings that comprise Maxim, together with six industrial units extending to 450,000 sq ft. The firm will advise on property management with asset management to be undertaken by Tritax.
Karen Campbell, chief executive at Maxim, said:
“Broadgate Estates is well aligned to our commitment of providing excellent customer service and focus at a competitive cost. Efficient property management will enable occupiers to focus on their core business aims without worrying about reliability of facilities, which will be second to none. “A large site such as Maxim is a community in its own right and it is essential that occupiers are well briefed on amenities, transport, security and related issues at all times. Good communication is central to that."
She added: “By bringing in Broadgate Estates as we near the completion of the first buildings, we are also ensuring that future occupier use and enjoyment of the park are fully considered from the design stage. Our overriding aim is for ease of operations for occupiers while creating a successful long term investment for investors.”
