Thousands of jobs could be created in Lanarkshire with the construction of one of Scotland's largest office parks.
The £330m Maxim business park - which will be built at the Eurocentral complex on the M8 - will be completed by March 2010. It will provide 756,000 sq ft of office space on a site equivalent in size to 27 football pitches. There are as yet no tenants but Maxim said the development would attract British and international firms.
Karen Campbell, Maxim's chief executive, said:
"We are already talking to potential tenants who will receive attractive financial packages to relocate to Maxim. "They will also benefit from working in a top class environment, with high quality buildings, good transport links and have key accessibility to a highly skilled workforce."
The privately funded project has been co-ordinated by Tritax, which bought the former CPT site in 2003.
